The vestry of St. Andrews Church Mt. Pleasant has signed the resolution urging re-dedication of one lane over the Ashley River to people on foot and bicycles.
In its blog entry detailing reasons for the decision, social justice was high on the list, the acknowledgement that for many people who can't afford to drive cars, the absence of a safe crossing represents an injustice that should be corrected.
