Friday's flyer hand out was a success. Five of us handed out about a 100 Bike Right flyers. In addition to the Coastal Cyclists and Charleston Moves volunteers we were joined by Councilman Seekings, City of Charleston Officers Cotanza, Wilson and Paul and City of Charleston Director of Plannng Tim Keane.
The cyclists we talked to were very receptive. I spent most of my time at the St. Phillip's and Calhoun intersection. This is a great spot to talk to cyclists. The big Bike Right logo on the flyer really gets peoples attention. Everyone likes bikes so they are interested to see what the literature is about. I also told them that this was part of an effort to get more bike facilities. They all liked that idea. I also had a CARTA DASH driver and a C of C public safety officer ask for flyers. They too were positive about the effort being made yesterday.
